- Dental filling treatment usually consists of the following steps:
- Examination and Diagnosis: The dentist determines the need for treatment by examining the decayed or damaged area. X-rays are also taken to evaluate the depth of the decay and the condition of the tooth.
- Preparation:It starts with cleaning the rotten part. The dentist removes the decayed tissue and cleans the vacated area. Then, the area to be applied with filler is prepared.
- Filling Application:The selected filler is applied to the prepared area. The filling can be of various materials, such as composite resin, amalgam, or porcelain. The applied filling material is shaped and hardened in accordance with the natural color and shape of the tooth.
- Final Checks and Adjustments: After the filling is applied, the dentist checks whether the filling is placed properly. If necessary, excess filling material is removed and the biting function of the tooth is checked.
